The open ceiling rooms with the exposed wooden beams may be dated, but we still love it for what it is, love the cabin feel, brick and mortar fireplaces. Biggest downfall was the fire alarm going off everytime there was a little smoke coming back in, solution was to open the balcony door a crack and it stopped the alarm issue, firewood is restocked often near your rooms door out front. Room's could be cleaned better, breakfast lunch and dinner at the lodge's own restaurant were excellent. Some of the waitresses/bartenders were awesome. I've been there at times where you can't even find parking and other times when there were less than a dozen people there.. preferred the more quiet stay to be honest, we would get up early in the cool mountain mornings and go for a walk around the lodge and up behind the lodge to a secluded open field, very relaxing and scenic, before heading for breakfast and eventually returning to our room for a relaxing day in front of the fireplace. We've even spent evenings in front of the fireplace in the main lodge having the bartender mix up all kinds of random hot drinks, very cozy place. You may luck out and go there during a more quiet time. Overall very happy with our stay(s). We'd love to come back again.

I like the overall theme of the place cozy mountain lodge that helps you relax away from the busy city life. I really love the fireplace. The only cons I can say about this place is that you can hear you neighbors, parking is a little bit awkward and small; for new drivers they might hit your car when backing up, also by that time my room’s toilet is not working, slow wifi (I guess it was part of the theme). Aside from that nothing more to say if you people are looking for a place away from civilization then you get it here.

Cozy rooms with a great mountain feel and very friendly staff. Great to have a fireplace in each room. Bell men were accommodating and helpful. The walls are quite thin though, and one can hear sounds of others walking outside, above and below rooms. We had a room mixup where the staff failed to notify us of a maintenance problem, but the manager dealt with it appropriately. More front staff may be needed, as the line up to check in/out can get quite long.

LOVED staying here week before Christmas, complimentary shuttle to town & pick up. The staff is very friendly, can rent movies to watch if you just want to stay in, fireplace in each room which they can set up of asked, there's a few trails walking distance from this place that were Amazing! Hoodoo and the mountain trail. Views from just walking outside the back door of the room is awesome, on the second day saw all outside our room, went for a hike to the Hoodoos and saw no joke over 20 blocking the road, almost paid to get the wildlife tour but it all worked out. There's the sleeping buffalo restaurant that's a nice place to eat but if you want something quick and easy there's also the mini cafe on the lodge's property, actually pass the cafe on our way to the main lodge lobby, has pretty good food as well. There's also a laundromat and mini grocery store walking distance from the lodge, and lodge has a mini outdoor hot tub, and so close to town that some places deliver. Will Def be back!

Extremely happy with the service. Awesome to have a free shuttle to get back and forth to downtown. Fireplace is amazing to have in the room. Room itself is cozy. Made a great choice staying here- extended our stay by a day- this place is wicked good!
