The Pump, what an awesome place, super chill, cheap beer, awesome vibe, cheap beer, lots of friendly locals and did I mention cheap beer?! It's a really awesome underground scene which is refreshing in Banff!!

Good hole-in-the-wall pub. Looking for a beer and some greasy food, can’t go wrong. TVs showing sports games are a plus. Are there better options in town? I’ll let you decide.

Swanky little joint in the basement. Wasn’t bad, wasn’t great. Got the vibe it was for locals only. One drink and we were out. Hope your experience is better. Could have just been an off day.

The day after I went to the Pump and Tap, I went skiing on Sunshine mountain. I took a nasty spill, faceplanted into the snow and ice and slid about 10 feet. I was in immense pain, and by the pain and my lack of motor ability, I was genuinely concerned my leg was broken. I crawled back, screaming to my ski gear where my equally concerned friend was waiting. I palpated my leg to ensure it was not broken. I continued to swear and scream.

How can you not love this bar!!! The staff was right on me for a beverage and they were friendly as hell!! What a great bar to come to. Not only was the staff great but they have a great vibe! I can see why this is a local bar. Cheers to John (Manager) for welcoming me and to Shane/Frenchy for A+ service! I will be back for sure next time i'm in Canada. Hats off GENTS!!!!!

All in all, this was a considerably better experience than going to the Pump and Tap.
