  Booked in for the Companion Package which is supposed to offer a steam shower, couples hot stone or aromatherapy massage, and pedicure. We were immediately directed to the massage room and asked little to no questions about what massage we would like. We received basic relaxation massages (my experience better than my partners) with no mention of the hot stones. I guess we needed to mention that we wanted the hot stone massage, even though it's what the package advertises. We then went to get our pedicures which were in a small room with wicker furniture and a small metal basin to soak our feet in, with luke warm water. When we went to pay, we were charged the same price even though we never received our steam shower or hot stone massage because we were told the showers are "complimentary" and we never specified that we wanted hot stones. When we noticed that the price did not make sense for the services we received, we were then told that couples massages cost more merely because you are in the same room- there is nothing else special about it. We were also not told that a gratuity was automatically added to the price and were not given a break down of the price. The only benefit to getting massages here were the friendly staff, and they did their job well. Overall, not a good experience and would not recommend going here as the price is not worth what you receive.

  I was booked in for a massage and arrived to the spa. It looked well kept, but was given flip flops to wear (barefeet, are these sanitary?) and wisked off to a small room to wait. From here, a male came in and told me he was doing the massage (was not given an option for male of female which I found quite unfortunate) and took me to a room with sheer curtains and instructed me to undress and get on the table. From here, he asked where my trouble spot was (which he paid zero attention to) and how hard I wanted the pressure, I asked for a light to medium pressure and nothing too intense. And here we go... first off.. he grabs my underwear over the blanket and pulls them down half way over my behind.. this was VERY uncomfortable. I would have expected to be asked if this is alright.. but no warning given. Then he proceeded to give me the fastest and strangest massage I've ever had in my life. I was so uncomfortable, I felt my toes curling the entire time. It felt very unproffesional and like he just didn't care to be there. The end couldn't have come fast enough. I was not relaxed, and in fact I am quite sore from the pressure. I know I ought to have spoke up, but I was so uncomfortable from the whole experience and was not confident at the time. I would not recommend the service from this particular person, and I do not think I would return to this location.

  We ended up doing a couples massage here and it was great! We shopped around for pricing and this place was by far the most affordable and didn't disappoint. They even let you have a free steam shower prior which was nice. The GF was happy, so I guess that's all that matters!

  Lets just say for a spa experience in banff it is neither relaxing or pleasant. Ambiance is nice but as soon as staff start talking to you or performing nail care it is not only painful but of poor quality. The nail artist was so rough with my finger nails that she left cuts and scrapes around my cuticle edges. I was there for about 3 hours and she barely made conversation with me, she would also leave every so often without telling me what she was going to do next so it left me guessing-should I call her to come back or ... Wait here or ..... ? I paid 175 for a spa mani/pedi when I could have paid 80-90 in Edmonton at a regular nail salon and not leave disgruntled with service or price. Also they don't offer shellac so be prepared that your nail polish will chip as soon as you start using your hands. Also my friend was with me and got her eyelashes tinted and basically for the whole experience her eyes were burning and the technician ensured her "not to worry that is normal, just a little tingling". For what you pay its not worth it to go here-just pay a little more for the nicer spas in Banff. This is the cheapest spa in banff and I guess the saying is true - that you get what you pay for!

  After walking through the snowflakes falling on Banff Ave, I took the designated staircase up above the shops and sounds to Mountain Spa and was impressed with such a luxurious and elegant gem. You can expect warm smiles, professional care, and a relaxing experience to enhance your trip to Banff. The quality of the spa, rooftop terrace, and attention to detail in decor made for a very recommendable experience! I will be back!
